The pre-patch of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic will be released on May 18, 2021

Last week a surprise announcement of The Burning Crusade: Classic was revealed to the players giving them just under a month to prepare as they venture beyond the Dark Portal on June 1st.But before players can enter Outland, the pre-patch event will go live bringing forth changes to the game before all the new content is released.

The pre-patch of WoW: Burning Crusade Classic will be released on May 18, 2021. Also included: lots of innovations for the classes, races and all kinds of game systems. For all the fresh challenges in Outland, though, we’ll have to be patient. Whereby … in fact it will be possible to farm the first items from the TBC Classic era from Wednesday.

The pre-patch will also mark an important decision for those who are still enjoying the vanilla experience. With the release of the pre-expansion patch, players will make a choice between continuing to play on WoW Classic or progressing into Burning Crusade Classic.

They can also choose to use the Character Clone service, which will give gamers the choice to continue playing their existing characters on the realm type you prefer: Burning Crusade Classic Progression realm or Classic Era realm.

Blizzard is now ready to fully explain how it’s all going to work, through this detailed blog post here. This is the gist of how cloning happens: “Upon installing and logging into the other game, in this case, World of Warcraft Classic, you’ll see [your character] listed and is greyed out. The text under her name now reads as, ‘Clone Available.’  A Clone icon will appear next to Thuata’s name as shown below. A tip will appear on mouse-over of the Clone icon. If you click the Clone icon, a confirmation window with more information will appear. It shows the ‘cloned’ date of the character which includes all progress on the character up to that date.” Then you pay the fee, and you’re good to go.

You should be fully set to log in on May 18 and plan your course. As a reminder, Blizzard recently changed the price for cloning characters from $35 to $15.

With Burning Crusade, it is well known that not only Outland challenges awaited all Azeroth heroes at the time, but also a previously neglected area was the focus of the first WoW expansion. In the Deadwind Pass of the Eastern Kingdoms, we found Karazhan, the first 10-player raid of the TBC era.

Gear Updates
Items undergo a slight change beginning in pre-patch where stats will change from a % increase to a “stat rating”. An example is a weapon that had 1% crit and 1% hit on Classic will be changed to have 20 critical strike rating and 20 hit rating (numbers made up and are different per piece of gear).

The PvP gear system is also receiving a change and will no longer require the previous ranks to purchase.Marks of honor will be used as a currency alongside the reworked honor system.

It will take you endless days to farm all gold, primals, materials, reputation marks. The raids are extremely difficult, so you may experience high consumable costs.
